Really sad to hear about the passing of Dave Mirra. Grew up watching him kill it at BMX and X Games and had the chance to meet him at the Oregon Trail Rally a few time when he drove rally cars for Subaru. He was always great to interact with and always seen smiling. Such a terrible loss.

This year has been rough with celebrity deaths and we’re just over a month in.

This one really makes me sad. I spent a lot if time playing Dave Mirra’s game on PlayStation when it came out and watched all the x games when I was younger.

The first thing I thought of was CTE. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had it. I know that it isn’t as violent a sport as football, hockey, lacrosse, or boxing, but head injuries have to be fairly common. If he had depression beforehand, that would be a HUGE red flag.
